Terry L. Wright and his wife, Dana, bought a three-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 10117 Summit Canyon Drive in Las Vegas for $2.7 million from Jeffrey B. and Monica A. Guinn on Feb. 1.
The Guinns paid $1.66 million for the home in March 2003.
The 5,410 square foot home, which was built in 2003, was listed for as high as $2.99 million.
Mr. Guinn is owner and chief executive officer of Aspen Financial Services. Prior to this, he worked as manager of the consumer loan division of Valley Bank of Nevada.
Mr. Guinn is the son of former Nevada governor Kenny Guinn. He attended Arizona State University, where he was a linebacker on their football team.
Mr. Wright is the owner and chairman of Nevada Title Company and owner and chief executive officer of its subsidiary, Nevada Construction Services. He is also co-founder of Westcor Land Title Insurance Company, the first domestic title insurance company in Nevada.
Home sales in Las Vegas increased almost 45 percent through December 2007 versus the same period in 2006. The median sales price though dropped more than eight percent, from the previous $305,000 to $280,000.
