NFL veteran Ogden sells for $1.7M in Henderson

NFL veteran Jonathan Ogden and his wife, Kema, sold their four-bedroom, 6.5 bath at 1537 Teramo St. in Henderson for $1.7 million to Steven Fenic and Evitt Lamorte on March 26.

Ogden paid $306,000 for the property in Nov. 2001. The home was built in 2006.

Considered arguably the best offensive linemen of his generation, Ogden, 33, has played all 12 seasons of his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. He has been named to the Pro Bowl each of the last 11 seasons and only missed out on the honor during his rookie season in 1996. He also anchored the Ravens' offensive line during the team's Super Bowl XXXV championship in 2000.

The Baltimore Sun reported in a Jan. 29 article that Ogden is considering retirement.

Drafted fourth overall in the 1996 NFL Draft, Ogden was a four-year starter at UCLA. His No. 79 jersey was retired following his collegiate career, becoming just the eighth player in school history to receive such an honor. He also won the 1995 Outland Trophy Award and competed on the Bruins' track and field team in the shot put. He is originally from Washington, D.C.

Ogden is one of the tallest players in the NFL, along with two other players who stand 6-foot-9 inches.

Home sales in Henderson dropped almost 27 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $350,000 to $325,000.
