IT co. CEO sells 4BD in Henderson for $800K

Derek LaFavor sold four-bedroom, 4.5 bath at 2729 Marie Antoinette Street in Henderson to Alexander and Amanda Linville for $800,000 on March 3.

LaFavor paid $1,033,446 for the Provence Country Club property in Dec. 2006.

LaFavor is the chairman and CEO of The Selling Source, Inc., a Las Vegas-based provider of marketing and technology solutions to the finance industry, which he founded in 1997.

Prior to forming TSS, he founded a sales and marketing consulting company in Southern California in 1990. Starting in the mid-1980s, he held management roles in several IT companies such as chairman of Source Data Products Ltd. and president of Source Business Systems.

He began his career with an accounting firm in Vancouver, Canada, and later became an account manager with Procter & Gamble and ICL Computers International.

He has a degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

Home sales in Henderson dropped almost 27 percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price also fell from $350,000 to $325,000.
