Consultants buy gaming exec's home in Summerlin South

Lawrence A. Rodis and Gillian Silver-Rodis, bought a three-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 10902 Keymar Dr. in Summerlin South for $983,400 from Lorenzo David Creighton on Aug. 29.

Mr. Creighton paid $555,722 for the property in January 2002.

The 3,647-square-foot house, which was built in 2002, is in the Eden Ridge at Summerlin subdivision.

Mr. Rodis is the president and chief technology officer of SRCG Consulting Group, a strategic management consultancy firm in Las Vegas.

He also teaches undergraduate- and graduate-level technology courses at Regis University in Denver, Colo.

He holds an M.A. in organizational management and a B.S. in computer science.

Ms. Silver-Rodis serves as a managing partner of SRCG Consulting Group.

She has also worked as vice president of corporate communications for a hotel and casino property and taught at UNLV and the Nevada campus of the University of Phoenix.

She holds an M.A. in management/organizational development, a B.A. in journalism and a B.F.A in theater arts.

Creighton, a lawyer, is the president and chief operating officer of the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He was named to this position in 2005.

Previously, he was president of Flamingo Hotel. He has also held several management positions within the gaming industry that include serving as executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, general manager of the President Casinos in St. Louis, Mo., and vice president of operations for Bally's Casino in New Orleans, La. Prior to a career in the gaming industry, he worked as a labor contract negotiator and consultant for the Iowa Department of Personnel.

He first worked with the Iowa Department of Corrections before serving as marketing director for the National Bank of Waterloo.

He earned his B.A. in political science from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, (1975) and obtained his J.D. from Drake Law School in Des Moines (1988).

Home sales in Summerlin South are down 14 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price also went down from $425,000 in 2007 to $330,000 so far this year.
