Beth Ellyn Rosenthal bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 393 Via Sonador in Henderson from the Bank of New York for $465,600 on Sept. 10.
The 4,071-square-foot house, which was built in 2002, is in the Trovas subdivision.
Rosenthal is a Las Vegas-based author who has written books on health and beauty. She also works as a nutritional and hair loss consultant.
She is the co-author of Trace Elements and Other Essential Nutrients, which was first published in 1991. She has also co-written 777 Cheap Eats in Las Vegas, which came out in 2003.
She also formed Meltdown International in 1993 and started selling Tissue Mineral Analysis tests. She took on nutritional counseling full time in 1995. Her company soon shifted its focus to female hair loss.
She graduated from Yale in 1974 and received her M.A. in journalism from Columbia University. Before starting a career as a freelance writer, she worked as the food editor at the Dallas Times Herald.
Home sales in Henderson are down two percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price also fell from $328,000 to $274,000 so far this year.
