Col. Douglas E. Troyer and his wife, Mary, bought a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 1177 Via Casa Palermo in Henderson from Wells Fargo Bank for $610,000 on Nov. 26.
The 3,397-square-foot house, which was built in 2006, is in the Falls subdivision.
Col. Troyer is the commander of the 71st Operations Group stationed at the Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where he supervises all flying activities for the 71st Flying Training Wing.
He joined the 71st Operations Group after serving as the deputy director of operations in NATO's CAOCSIX in Eskisehir, Turkey. He started his career in the Air Force at Clark Air Base in the Philippines as an electronic warfare officer.
He earned his commission as an electrical engineering graduate from the University of Southern California's Reserve Training Corps program in 1984. In 1996, he attended the U.S. Army's Commander and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
There were 8,181 sales in Henderson in 2008, with median sales price of $260,000.
