Las Vegas 51s lawyer sells Summerlin South 4BD

Christopher L. Kaempfer and Christine L. Kaempfer sold a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 11580 Evergreen Creek Lane in Summerlin South to Howard D. Travers and Irene M. Travers for $1.1 million on March 10.

The 3,823-square-foot home was built in 2002. It is in the neighborhood of Rock Country Club at Summerlin.

Mr. Kaempfer is a senior partner with the law firm Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario. Founded in 1994, the firm has offices in Las Vegas and Reno.

Previously, he worked with the law firm of Vargas & Bartlett.

Since 1986 he has been of counsel to the Las Vegas 51s, a minor league baseball team. He was also part owner and general counsel of the now-defunct Las Vegas Thunder, an IHL-affiliated hockey team.

Mr. Kaempfer received a B.A. from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (1971) and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law ('75).

There were 1,005 sales in Summerlin South in 2008, with a median sales price of $305,000.
