James Veltman and Nadene Veltman have listed for sale their four-bedroom, three-bath home at 4470 Chieftain St. in Lone Mountain for $400,000.

The Veltmans paid $250,000 for the property in May 1996. The 3,969-square-foot house was built in 1989.

William O'Keefe of the Prudential Americana Group is the listing agent for the home.

Mr. Veltman is a planning principal at Studio VBM, a Las Vegas firm which offers planning, urban design and landscape architecture services. He has also served as the chairman of the Las Vegas Task Force for New Church Development.

He received his bachelor’s in art, engineering and mathematics from Calvin College and his bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Michigan.

Ms. Veltman is a retired registered nurse with over 35 years experience. She was also a patient services administrator for 20 years and a professor of professional nursing.

There were 526 home sales in Lone Mountain in 2008, with a median sales price of $400,000.
