Herbst Gaming exec. nets $2.328M in Summerlin South

Edward J. Herbst sold a six-bedroom, seven-bath at 10 Wild Ridge Ct. in Summerlin South to Tami L. Campa and Michael J. Close for $2.328 million on March 27.

Herbst paid $3.5 million for the property in April 2005. The 7,351-square-foot home was built in 2003.

Herbst is an executive VP at Herbst Gaming Inc., a family owned casino and slot route operator based in Las Vegas that operates under the name Terrible's. He also serves as CEO and president of Terrible Herbst Corp., an owner and operator of gas stations in Nevada, California and Arizona.

Prior roles held within Herbst Gaming Inc. include chairman and CEO from 1987 to April 2008 and president from Jan. 1997 to April 2008. He also served as VP of Terrible Herbst Inc.

There were 992 sales in Summerlin South in 2008, with a median price of $300,000.
