Former state senator buys in Spring Valley

Sandra J. Tiffany bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 6239 Oak Park Ave. in Spring Valley for $315,000 from Ann Ngoc Le on April 24.

The 2,926-square-foot home, which was built in 1999, is in the Spanish Palm neighborhood.

Tiffany is a former republican Nevada state senator who represented the Fifth District in Henderson. She was elected to the senate in 2003 and lost her bid for reelection in 2006. She also spent nine years in the Nevada assembly from 1993-2001 and was the assistant majority whip in the senate in 2005.

She's also served as an executive with engineering software firm Intergraph and was the co-founder of Computer Methods, a manufacturer of nuclear medicine image processing systems.

She earned her bachelor's from Eastern Michigan State University.

There were 7,241 home sales in Spring Valley in 2008, with a median price of $185,000.
