Ameristar Casinos exec settles in Henderson

Sheleen Quish and Franklin A. Mallinder bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 2807 Olivia Heights Ave. in Henderson from Twin-Vest Investments, LLC, for $429,900 on April 21.

The 2,592-square-foot house was built in 2004.

Ms. Quish is the chief information officer at Ameristar Casinos, Inc., a leading Las Vegas-based gaming and entertainment company. She was appointed to the position in June 2007 after previously serving for six months as the interim CIO.

She's also worked with Box 9 Consulting, the U.S. Can Co., Unitrin, Inc.’s Life & Health Division, The Signature Group, Bricker & Associates consulting firm and Southeastern Mutual Insurance Co.

She earned her bachelor's from the College of New Rochelle in New York.

Mr. Mallinder is the founder and president of The Learning Institute, a Las Vegas professional consulting firm. He has also worked with Box 9 Consulting, Blanchard Training & Development, Development Dimensions International, Zenger-Miller, Inc., and Arthur Anderson & Co.

He earned his bachelor's from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pa.

There 9,042 home sales in Henderson in 2008, with median price of $230,000.
