Dr. Jonathan Richard Sorelle and Nilsa Sorelle bought a four-bedroom, three-bath at 8205 Taos Paseo Ave. in Las Vegas from Deutsche Bank Trust Co., Americas for $310,000 on May 14.
Deutsche Bank Trust Co., Americas foreclosed the property in July 2008.
The 2,863-square-foot home was built in 1995 in the Summerlin neighborhood.
Dr. Sorelle is a hand surgeon and a lieutenant commander in the US Naval Reserve. He currently works at The Brown Hand Center, which has offices in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Ariz. and Houston, Texas. He is also a lecturer to Navy medical personnel and to medical students.
He earned his B.S. degree in biology from Marist College in New York and his M.D. from the University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. He completed his residency in general surgery at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio and served his fellowship in hand surgery at the combined Hartford Hospital-Yale University hand surgery program in Hartford, Conn.
There were 22,357 sales in Las Vegas in 2008, with a median price of $149,000.
