Professional poker players buy Las Vegas 4BD

Medium 1f9c127fe99ccf97bd3dbf4555a42e6b Joanne Liu and Daniel Alspach bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 2130 Alexa Breanne Court in Las Vegas from Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., for $341,250 on June 10.

Deutsche Bank National Trust Co., and First Franklin Mortgage Loan Trust foreclosed on the property in Jan. 2008. The 3,702-square-foot house, which was built in 1994, is in Southwest Las Vegas.

Ms. Liu is a professional poker player who has participated and won in various World Poker tournaments. She is the only woman to have made over $1 million on the WPT circuit alone. She started playing in 1996.

Prior to that, she worked as a software engineer for Loral Space Systems in Palo Alto, Calif., one of the world's leading designers and builders of communication satellites.

She attended Ming Chuan College in Taiwan. She earned her masters degree in computer science from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.

Mr. Alspach is also a professional poker player.

There were 22,430 home sales in Las Vegas in 2008, with a median sales price of $146,500.
