Dr. Kayvan T. Khiabani and Katayoun Barin bought a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 11546 Morning Grove Dr. in Summerlin South from Gerald Scott Wilson and Jeffrey J. Burns for $1.2 million on June 10.
The 5,555-square-foot house was built in 2006 in the Greater Red Rock neighborhood.
Dr. Khiabani is a plastic reconstructive hand surgeon based in Las Vegas. He's also an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
He's also served as a clinical instructor at UCLA, and was the chief resident in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at McGill University in Montreal. He earned his master's of science in experimental surgery and M.D. at McGill and his bachelor's from Vanier College in Montreal.
There were 1,019 home sales in Summerlin South in 2008, with a median sales price of $270,000.
