Architect, realtor sell Las Vegas 4BD

James E. Beyer and Cheryl Keown sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 2820 Sterling Cove Dr. in Las Vegas to Ho'Ohana Enterprises Ltd. for $485,000 on June 30.

Beyer and Keown bought the property for $43,000 on July 2000.

The 2,709-square-foot house, built in 1992 at Spinnaker Cove, is in West Las Vegas.

Mr. Beyer, a licensed architect, has worked as vice president for design at Las Vegas Sands Inc.

Prior to joining the Sands in 2000, he was a principal at Stubbins Associates in Cambridge, Mass.

He earned his bachelor's degree in architecture in 1973 from Kent State University and his master's degree in architecture in 1981 from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Ms. Keown works as a realtor with Coldwell Banker. Before moving to Las Vegas in 2000, she was a practicing architect in Boston, Mass.

She earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Cornell University and a master's degree in architecture from Harvard University.

There were 22,433 home sales in Las Vegas in 2008, with median sales price of $145,000.
