UFC chairman asking $2.95M for Summerlin abode

Lorenzo Fertitta has listed for sale a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 8913 Greensboro Lane in Las Vegas for $2,949,900.

Fertitta paid $3.8 million for the property in Dec. 2000. The 8,948-square-foot house was built in 1995 in Summerlin.

The listing agent for the property is Thomas Love of Realty Executives Of Nevada.

Mr. Fertitta is the former president, principal shareholder and co-owner of Station Casinos Inc., a Las Vegas based gaming company which operates 18 properties in the Las Vegas area. The company was founded by his father in the late 1970s and passed it over to Feritta and his brother in 1993. Mr. Feritta left the company in 2008.

Since leaving Station Casinos, he's served as the chairman and CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship, the mixed martial arts entertainment company.

He's also the co-founder and president of Zuffa LLC, a sports promotion company specializing in the promotion of mixed martial arts and the parent company of UFC.

He earned his M.B.A. from New York University and his bachelor's in business administration from the University of San Diego.

There were 22,772 home sales in the Las Vegas in 2008, with median price of $139,900.
