Tayyiba Park Haneef and Anthony D. Park bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 8709 Kingship Court in Las Vegas from Joseph Edward Belcher for $450,000 on Aug. 31.

Belcher paid $799,900 for the property in Feb. 2005. The 4,964-square-foot house was built in 2000 in Northwest Las Vegas.

Ms. Haneef is a professional women's volleyball player who earned a silver medal with the U.S. women's national team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She also played in the 2004 Athens Summer Games. At 6-foot-7, she is the tallest player on the U.S. team.

She was an All-American selection in 2001 at Long Beach State University.

Mr. Park is a pilot in the United States Air Force.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 22,287 home sales in Las Vegas in 2008, with a median sales price of $130,000.
