Richard F. Sigal and Mary G. Sigal bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 8350 Christinas Cove Ave. in Las Vegas from Pacific Woods Rentals LLC for $395,000 on Jan. 13.

Pacific Woods Rentals previously foreclosed on the property on Oct. 2009. The 3,638-square-foot house was built in 2006 in Northeast Las Vegas.

Mr. Sigal is a professor in the Melbourne School of Petroleum & Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.

He was a staff engineer at Anadarko Petroleum and group supervisor at Halliburton. He also worked at BP Amoco as research scientist.

He earned his B.S. in mathematics from the Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, Ohio and his Ph.D. in physics from Yeshiva University in New York City.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 23,333 home sales in Las Vegas during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $114,000.
