Dr. Mark David Mifflin bought a six-bedroom, five-bath at 8227 Hurtado St. in Unincorporated Las Vegas from Noelle Sorell for $395,000 on Jan. 11.

Sorell paid $600,100 for the property in Jan. 2006. The 4,725-square-foot home was built in 1973.

Dr. Mifflin specializes in corneal and external eye diseases, cataract and refractive surgery at the John A. Moran Eye Center at University of Utah. He is also medical director of Utah Lions Eye Bank. In addition to his practice, he serves as an associate professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences at University of Utah School of Medicine.

He earned his M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 36,196 home sales in Unincorporated Las Vegas during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $125,000.
