Michael W. Yackira and Renee L. Yackira sold a six-bedroom, 7.5-bath home at 2305 Pearl Crest St. in Las Vegas to Larry Keever and Carolyn L. Muir for $780,000 on Dec. 21.

Michael Yackira paid $1 million for the property in March 2003. The 5,033-square-foot home in Summerlin North was built in 1999.

Michael Yackira is the president and CEO of NV Energy Inc., an electric energy distributor in Nevada. He previously served the company as executive vice president of strategy and policy and as corporate executive vice president and CFO. He is currently a member of the board of the Nevada Development Authority, the board of trustees of UNLV Foundation, the board of directors of the Nevada Cancer Institute and the Council for a Better Nevada. In addition, he also serves on the board of the Edison Electric Institute. Prior to joining the company, he served a number of executive positions with FPL Group.

He received a B.S. in accounting from Lehman College, City University of New York. He is a CPA.

Renee Yackira is executive director of government relations for the Nevada System of Higher Education. She formerly served as deputy general counsel and executive for business law for NV Energy. Prior to that, she as she served as chief of staff to Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall, deputy chief of staff and general counsel to former Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn, and as chief deputy secretary of state to former Nevada Secretary of State Dean Heller. Earlier in her career, she was a policy advisor and assistant general counsel to the Nevada Public Utilities Commission. She has also worked as an associate at the law firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro LLP.

She holds a B.S. in economics from Santa Clara University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
