Douglas D. Gerrard bought a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 851 Majestic Ridge Court in Henderson from Howard Unger and Cheryl Unger for $800,000 on Dec. 23.

The Ungers paid $153,000 for the property in July 2002. The 4,968-square-foot home in Anthem/MacDonald Ranch was built in 2004.

Gerrard is a partner in the Henderson office of the law firm Gerrard, Cox & Larsen. The areas of his practice include real estate, business and banking.

He attended Brigham Young University and graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. He earned his J.D. at the Brigham Young University College of Law.

Gerrard also owns homes at 2361 Thayer Ave. and at 2365 Villandry Court in Henderson. He paid $425,000 in May 2008 and $832,000 in July 2001 for the properties, respectively. He sold a home at 2275 Loring Ave. in Henderson for $330,000 in July 2001.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 11,076 home sales in Henderson during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $145,000.
