Supremes singer's Vegas home

by BlockShopper Historian published Aug. 3, 2009

Vocalist Mary Wilson was part of the original lineup of the hugely popular Motown group the Surpremes and to this day is one of the group's most consistent members. She performed with the Supremes from 1959 until officially leaving the group in 1977, seven years after lead singer Diana Ross had departed. Wilson's throaty alto voice was considered the precise opposite of Ross's soprano. However, Wilson was not offered a spot on the 2000 Supremes' reunion tour that would up being canceled after only half its intended dates. Wilson worked with many of the actors in the 2007 film Dreamgirls , which was loosely based on the real life Supremes.
